Terms of Use
Last updated: 25 July 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Bright Web, the maker of Eyebreak (listed on the App Store as Eyebreak: 20-20-20 Eye Timer). By using the app you accept them.
What the app is
Eyebreak is a screen-break reminder. It schedules eye breaks based on the 20-20-20 rule, notifies you when a break is due, and keeps a local record of the breaks you take.
Subscription
The app requires a paid subscription. New subscribers get a free trial; the trial length and current prices are shown in the app before you confirm anything. After the trial, the subscription renews automatically at the price shown until you cancel.
- Billing is handled entirely by Apple through your Apple account.
- Cancel any time in your Apple subscription settings. To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or current period ends.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms. We cannot issue them directly.
Not medical advice
The app offers general wellbeing information about screen habits and eye strain. It is not a medical device and nothing in it is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have eye pain, persistent symptoms, or concerns about your vision, see an optometrist or doctor. Do not delay seeking medical help because of anything the app says.
Fair use
Don't attempt to copy, resell, reverse engineer, or interfere with the app or its purchase system. The app, its design, and its content belong to Bright Web.
Liability
The app is provided as is. We work to keep it reliable, but we do not guarantee that reminders will always fire (for example if your device blocks notifications) and we are not liable for losses arising from use of the app, beyond what the law does not allow us to exclude. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will appear on this page with an updated date, and continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
