Privacy Policy

Eyebreak (listed on the App Store as Eyebreak: 20-20-20 Eye Timer) is made by Bright Web, a company based in the United Kingdom. This page explains what data the app handles and where it goes. The short version: almost everything stays on your phone.
What we collect
The app has no accounts and we run no servers of our own. The things you enter during setup (your name, age range, daily screen hours, goals, working hours) and everything the app records afterwards (settings, break history, streaks) are stored locally on your device and nowhere else. We cannot see them.
Third parties
Two services are involved in running the app:
- Apple processes all payments and subscriptions. We never see your payment details. Apple's handling of that data is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
- Superwall powers our purchase screen. It receives an anonymous device identifier and purchase events (for example that a trial started) so the screen works and we can see how it performs. It does not receive your name or anything you typed into the app. See the Superwall privacy policy.
There are no advertising networks in the app and we do not sell data to anyone.
Notifications
Break reminders are local notifications, scheduled and delivered by your phone. They do not pass through our systems.
Deleting your data
Delete the app and the data it stored on your device goes with it. We hold nothing to delete on our side. To stop a subscription, cancel it in your Apple account settings.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights over personal data, including access, correction, and erasure. Because we hold no personal data about you, most requests are satisfied by deleting the app, but you can always write to us and we will help. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with an updated date.
